_TXT Following the death of her husband,Thomas by drowning she petitioned the Whitby Seaman's Fund for herself and her four children.
"That your Petitioners Means of Support are from the Whitby Seaman's Fund, viz eleven shillings a Month for herself & said four children which not being sufficient to support herself and Family, she most humbly prays that she or her children may be admitted to the Pension of this Corporation."

Thomas Turnbull Managing Owner of the Wave signs to say that Thomas Benjamin Page served on board the ship Wave, 57 tons, as Master, from Hartlepool to Loftus Works in 1851. The Owners are Messrs Hunter & Turnbull.
